‘Chappelle’s Show’ to return to Netflix, Dave Chappelle announces

“Chappelle’s Show” will be returning to Netflix after it was taken off less than a month after its debut on the streaming platform in November.

Announcing his self-titled show’s return, Dave Chappelle posted a nearly-11-minute video to his Instagram account late Wednesday night, titled simply, “Redemption Song.”

“You need to know how to solve your problems, you need to know where your power lies,” Chappelle says halfway through the clip posted Wednesday. “You are Americans, so your power lies in each other.”

Chappelle talked about about a special he released to his personal Instagram account in November, titled, “Unforgiven.” It was in that video that he told his fans “what his beef was with Comedy Central.”

“I never talked about it. I demanded that the Network (Comedy Central) pay me,” Chappelle said.

In the “Unforgiven” video, Chappelle asked his fans to stop watching “Chappelle’s Show” that was streaming on Netflix, because the comedian was not receiving compensation, according to Chappelle.

Apparently, fans listened, and the show lost its value. In his latest Instagram video announcing the show’s return, Chappelle said he is now being paid “millions of dollars” in compensation.
