The Greater Dayton RTA has announced that it is offering free rides on all of its vehicles through the end of the year, as well as on weekends through March 26.

The RTA already began offering free rides in the lead up to last week’s winter storm, when it said in a release that the free rides were meant to encourage people to delay their travel plans until weather improved this week.

On Tuesday, though, the RTA said that as thanks for its customers sticking with them during the storm, it will also offer free rides for all routes on Saturdays and Sundays through March 26, 2023.

This announcement also came as the GDRTA announced temporary service changes including two new routes, one of which serves areas in and around Trotwood, and the other of which connects Trotwood on one end to the Kroger on Brandt Pike on the other, intersecting 10 other routes on the way.
