The number of customers without power from Friday night’s storms continued to decrease Sunday, but thousands still were without it.
Households and businesses lost power after storms packing lightning, hail, heavy downpours and high winds pounded the region Friday night.
More than 1,100 customers of AES Ohio, formerly Dayton Power & Light Co., were without power as of 6 p.m. Sunday
Duke Energy reported about 10 remaining outages in Warren and Butler Counties. First Energy reported fewer than five outages in the Miami Valley.
At its height as of 9:50 p.m Friday., more than 16,800 AES Ohio customers were without service.
The outages were spread across several cities and counties.
