24,081 cases of coronavirus, 1,341 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Ohio

There are 24,081 cases of coronavirus in Ohio and 1,341 deaths attributed to coronavirus in Ohio as of May 10, the Ohio Department of Health reported.

22,891 cases and 1,220 deaths from COVID-19 are confirmed. The rest fall under Center for Disease Control guidelines that allow for counting a case or death without testing an individual for coronavirus.

There are 4,351 people in the hospital and 1,205 people in an intensive care unit.

The Ohio Department of Health reported that in the past 21 days, there is an average of 594 new cases per day.

Gov. Mike DeWine will not host a press conference today to address how officials are responding to the coronavirus.
