Bank to close Kettering branch

PNC Financial Services Group Inc. announced it will close a branch in Kettering at 4025 Wilmington Pike in April.

The bank said it will consolidated the branch’s accounts with its 3079 Woodman Drive location.

PNC Bank opened its “branch of the future” that blends technology while retaining a human touch in September inside its Dayton headquarters at 312 North Patterson Blvd. The new branch has “Discovery Tables” equipped with tablet computers for customers to use and twin 24-hour ATM machines that accept up to 30 checks for deposit or 50 bill payments in a single transaction and which can dispense denominations down to $1 bills.

PNC is the third largest bank by deposits in the Cincinnati and Dayton metropolitan areas, and in Clark County, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
