"Directly to the killer, who may be in this room, we've likely interviewed you or someone close to you," Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said at a news conference. “We have a witness. You made mistakes. We are coming for you and there's no place for a heartless coward like you to hide that gets his thrill from killing little girls.”
Teenagers, Libby German, 14, and Abby Williams 13, were reported missing on Feb. 13, 2017. WXIN reported. Their bodies were discovered the next day. Two days after the teens went missing, Indiana State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff's Department released a photo of a man who was reportedly walking on the trail around the time the girls disappeared, the television station reported. They also released an audio recording of a man's voice, saying, "Down the hill," WXIN reported. The photograph and audio came from German's cellphone, police said.
This is the sketch of the man believed to have murdered Abby Williams & Libby German on February 13, 2017. Mid 20s, mid 30s. Much different than the face sketch originally released. Police believe he lives or works in Delphi or frequents the area. pic.twitter.com/BjycfaRBZk

Carter said at the news conference the focus of the investigation had shifted, WXIN reported. Investigators now believe the suspect either lives in Delphi or used to live there, the television station reported. The latest sketch of the suspect shows a man much younger than a previously circulated sketch, WXIN reported.

Carter vowed at the news conference to bring the killer to justice.
"We believe you are hiding in plain sight. For more than two years, you never thought we'd shift gears to a different investigative strategy, but we have. … We know that this is about power for you, and you want to know what we know.
“One day, you will.”
