Bob Evans Restaurants offers free pie today to celebrate late founder’s 100th birthday

Bob Evans Restaurants is celebrating its late founder's 100th birthday by offering a free slice of pie today, May 30, according to a post on the company's Facebook page and confirmed by a Bob Evans Restaurants spokesman.

“The offer is valid in all locations, open to close,” the spokesman said. “The purchase requirement is an adult entrée, and if the guest orders pie, (the pie) will be free in celebration of Bob Evans’ 100th birthday. It is not valid with any other offers.”

The company’s founder was born May 30, 1918, in Sugar Ridge, Ohio, north of Bowling Green in Wood County. He died in 2007.
