It was a disturbing sight -- a bobcat was tangled in a soccer net, desperately trying to free itself.
“Here’s why we ask you to take down sports nets when not in use,” the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s South East Region posted on Twitter.
The tweet showed the bobcat spread-eagled and strung up in a soccer net in the Golden Hills area of Colorado Springs, KDVR reported.
A neighbor heard the animal thrashing in the net and approached it with the idea of freeing the bobcat, Bill Vogrin of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife told KCNC. However, the person called wildlife officials instead.
Meanwhile, the bobcat was able to free itself and run away, the television station reported.
