AAA opens new center in Troy, offers free maintenance checks

AAA opened a Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center for the first time in Troy Saturday morning.

Free vehicle preventative maintenance inspections will be offered until 2 p.m. at 4 S. Stanfield Road.

Maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs such as tires, brakes, tune-ups, air conditioning and cooling systems, battery replacements, and electrical work are available.

A free self-serve station is also available for drivers to check and add air to their tires, and a charging station for drivers to power up their electric vehicles.

NAPA sponsored a free lunch, prizes and giveaways that included a $100 Car Care coupon, AAA discounts, rewards gift cards and savings up to $300 for travel bookings.

"This is a great opportunity for families to get prepared ahead of summer vacation travel plans to reduce the risk of breakdowns on the road," Cindy Antrican, AAA Public Affairs Manager said.

AAA’s Roadside Rescue team aided more than 106,000 Ohio drivers last summer who were stranded because of vehicle breakdown, 53,614 of them required a tow.

There are only three locations of this kind in the Miami Valley region.
