Effective through July 31, Montgomery County is issuing permits for electric and gas piping at no charge.

Residents still need to apply for the permit to ensure their property can be safely inspected before utilities are turned back on.

DP&L and Vectren have already begun inspecting properties where there has been minimal damage.

If damage or leaks are found in the inspection process, the company will notify the tenant, repair the damage, and contact the Montgomery County Building Regulations Department.

If you have concerns about utility permits, email the Montgomery County Building Regulations Department at www.selectmcohio.com/mcohio/building or call 937-225-4622.
