2 injured, taken to hospital after vehicle hits tree head-on in Darke County

Two people were injured on Sunday afternoon when a 2010 Black Chevy Malibu collided with a tree near the 8300 block of State Route 118, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

20-year-old Taylor Burns, of Saint Henry, suffered a medical condition while driving north and traveled off the right side of the road. Her vehicle went through a fence before striking a tree head-on.

Darke County Deputies, Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Ansonia Fire and Rescue were called to the scene around 1:07 p.m.

Burns and the front-seat passenger, 20-year-old Kendra Rose, of Burkettsville, were both transported to Wayne HealthCare for injuries. Rose was then transported to Miami Valley Hospital for a leg injury.
