New children's play product "Rigamajig" makes debut in Riverside

One of the many events happening during the CarMax Foundation's "Week of Play" that runs through Friday is an event for military families where a new play product called Rigamajig made its debut.

The unveiling of the product, a building kit that provides children a safe place to play, was held at Beverly Gardens Elementary on Wednesday.

CarMax and KaBOOM! make play products more accessible to the children of veterans and military families.

The KaBOOM! grant for the Rigamajig helps to provide Beverly Gardens Elementary students and families the opportunity to interact during events. The Rigamajig kit includes wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts and ropes.

The Rigamajig is only one of 10 play products that will be granted during the "Week of Play".

CarMax and KaBOOM! are also planning to build five different playgrounds and provide 30 grants for Imagination Playground and Rigamajig to organizations across the country.

Over the next three years, they hope to reach 85,000 children of military families.
