Here’s how police will prevent firearms from being stolen out of homes

The village of West Milton is offering a new program that will help prevent firearms from being stolen out of resident’s homes when they are not there.

As part of the program, residents can store their firearms in a secure location inside the police department station for free while they are on vacation or away from home.

Police hope the program will prevent firearms from being stolen and decrease the amount of break-ins that occur in unoccupied homes.
