Before the restoration, Montgomery County residents were the most affected early Friday with nearly 1,800 still without power near the Huber Heights area.
Power was restored to nearly all impacted customers around 5:30 a.m.
“We’re still investigating the cause of the outage”, said Kevin Hall, DP&L spokesman.
INITIAL REPORT:
More than 6,000 Dayton Power and Light customers are without power, according to data from the DP&L outage map.
The outages reportedly began around 7 p.m. and 7,255 customers were initially impacted, according to DP&L spokeswoman MaryAnn Kabel.

Crews are on scene investigating the cause of the outages and have brought power back to 1,340 customers.
DP&L hopes to have power restored to all customers within the hour, Kabel said.
