The Clark County HAZMAT team (Hazardous Materials Response Unit) is currently on scene.
Two eastbound lanes on I-70 are now open.
The cause of the crash is still unknown.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Post in Springfield is reporting the eastbound lanes on I-70 between state routes 72 and 41 have been shut down following a crash involving a semi-trailer.
According to reports, traffic in the area is backed up for several miles. OHGO, the Ohio Department of Transportation’s real-time traffic site, reports the road as being closed.
