Car crashes into Springfield home while fleeing police, suspect still at large

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively looking for a man who crashed a car in a Springfield home.

The incident happened at about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

A patrolman was attempting to make a traffic stop on a Buick Century when it fled the area.

The patrolmen lost sight of the car. He was later flagged down by a homeowner in the area of East Sourthern and Delta who stated there was a car in her house.

The suspect was able to get out of the car and leave but he did drop a 9mm black and silver semi auto pistol, officials said.
