Miamisburg Police Chief John Sedlak declined to comment last week on specific questions about the case, but expressed confidence the investigation will bring charges in the homicide.
“We are continuing to work hard on it,” Sedlak said. “And we are continuing to make progress and I continue to remain very positive about the fact that I believe we will ultimately bring the perpetrator or perpetrators to justice.”
Initial reports indicated seven gunshots were heard, police records show. Five officers responded to the scene, where there was “blood all over,” according to police records.
