I find it interesting that Edgewood is able to find seven qualified candidates for superintendent without having to pay $30,000-plus for a (search) firm. Maybe it is because they pay more than Middletown? No, they actually pay about $25,000 per year less than Middletown. How does that work?
I see where a certain reader thinks that "tattoos are absolutely disgusting." Mine are all Christian, all gotten after I became clean and sober. The images reflect Christ's love for me, His willingness to have died and risen for my sins, and His having restored me to sanity. I hate to think we live in a world where the face of our savior is "disgusting." He died for you, too, gentle reader.
Regarding the men's city golf tournament: What bothers me is that I like playing at Weatherwax and I don't mind a change. They are saying they are doing it for revenue. They aren't getting enough players, but I see in the May 13 Journal that the deadline is June 3. It stipulates no more than 96 people can participate. ... I would think they would open it up to anyone who would want to play. ... It doesn't make sense to say we don't get enough people to play and then — when we change it — they put a limit on the number of players.
