Companies Cited For Selling Liquor To Madison's Bistro

The same investigation that shut down a Washington Township restaurant, has lead to citations against two local alcohol distributors.

Earlier this month, Madison's Bistro on Far Hills Ave. was closed down and the owner was charged with illegally selling alcohol. Investigators said the restaurant had not had a liquor license over the past year because of a sales tax issue.

Now, the same state agency who investigated Madison's Bistro issued citations against Arrow Wine and Spirits and Bonbright Company for improperly selling alcohol to the restaurant.

State officials said those citations are not criminal charges, but could result in administrative sanctions.
