Coronavirus: Butler County reports fifth death related to COVID-19

Butler County is reporting a fifth death of a woman related to the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. The woman is reported to be in her 70s and resides in the 45014 zip code, which is mostly Fairfield.

Butler County is reporting a fifth death of a woman related to the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. The woman is reported to be in her 70s and resides in the 45014 zip code, which is mostly Fairfield.

The Butler County General Health District reports a woman in her 70s has died from the coronavirus.

Health Commissioner Jenny Bailer does not report exact locations any longer but the woman lived in the 45014 zip code that has a population of 46,490 residents living in parts of Fairfield, Hamilton and Ross Twp. Most of Fairfield is in this zip code.

The woman had other medical conditions but “It is not known how she contracted the disease” a press release stated.

“Our hearts go out to the loved ones in their time of grief, and we send our deepest sympathies,” Bailer said.

As of Monday afternoon, there were 241 confirmed cases, three probable cases and five deaths. The number of cases increased by 10 since Sunday.
