MORE: Teen charged in 2 same-day Middletown robberies to remain in juvenile detention center
Getter’s bond was set at $100,000, and he remains in the Butler County Jail. His attorney is Frank Schiavone IV.
The other person allegedly involved in the robberies, a 15-year-old Middletown boy, remains in the Butler County Detention Center after he was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, first-degree felonies.
The teen appeared last week in Butler County Juvenile Court and his pre-trial hearing was set for 10 a.m. July 15 before Judge Ronald Craft, according to court documents. The teen has been in juvenile detention since he was arrested by Middletown police on June 11.
The two were arrested June 11 after they allegedly robbed Discount Tobacco, 408 S. Breiel Blvd., and Speedway, 3104 Roosevelt Blvd., according to Middletown police. Police have said footage from the surveillance camera that was shown on local media outlets helped them identity the suspects so quickly.
A search warrant was executed at Getter’s residence on Bavarian Street and masks, “realistic looking” BB guns and money were recovered, police said.
“We are happy to get these individuals off the street so quickly and thank everyone that gave information about these crimes,” Maj. Scott Reeve said.
