Dayton police investigating Saturday shooting

Dayton police are investigating after a man was shot near the intersection of Carnegie Street and Glenbrook Drive Saturday night.

The incident was reported around 8:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of Carnegie Street, according to a police report.

Details about the man’s injuries were not available, but he was alert following the shooting, a 911 caller told police dispatchers.

“He’s bleeding real bad,” the caller said. “He’s alert. He’s conscious.”

The caller said he didn’t see the shooting, but was at an apartment nearby and heard the gunfire.

It is not clear if a suspect or suspects have been identified.
