Dayton police seek public’s help to find ‘violent’ suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a “violent and wanted” man who has warrants and “continues to seek out and beat his ex-girlfriend.”

Maurice Carden has warrants for aggravated burglary, disrupting public service and retaliation on a victim. He is also on parole for weapons under disability for a prior felony conviction.

In January, his ex-girlfriend filed a police report but the case was dismissed. He is accused of beating her two more times.

In the latest incident on Nov. 13, Carden is accused of going to a residence on Meredith Street, beating the victim and putting a gun to her head, saying she was sending him back to prison for calling the police.

Carden is believed to be in Springfield, but has been around Dayton in the past week. He is being driven around by his brother in a gray 2008 Pontiac G6 with plate number HUS 1736.

If you see Carden or know where he is, contact Dayton police at 937-333-COPS (2677) or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at 937-222-STOP (7867).
