2 drug-related arrests made after Preble County traffic stop, search warrant

Two people were arrested July 23 after deputies stopped their vehicle on East Main Street for a speed violation that occurred on U.S. 35, according to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

During the traffic stop, deputies found 21 grams of suspected meth after Jacob Sievers, 39 gave them consent to search the vehicle. Sievers was arrested as a result of the stop.

Deputies then obtained a search warrant for Sievers’ residence on Lexington Road, where they found drug paraphernalia, a small amount of additional meth, and other drug trafficking evidence. Stephanie O’Neal, 50 was arrested at the residence for drug-related offenses.

Sievers and O’Neal have been charged with aggravated possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Sievers has also been charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, possessing criminal tools, and possession of marijuana.

Bond has been set for both and they remain in the Preble County Jail.
