A Kettering City Schools employee arrested in a drug raid is set to be terminated by the district Tuesday.

Shelley Smith, one of six people charged in a Kettering drug bust in December, was a food service worker at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, according to Community Relations Coordinator Kari Basson.
According to the district’s agenda, Smith’s employment with the district will be terminated, effective Aug. 15.
Arrest warrants for Smith, 46, and two others were issued July 7. Smith remains at large according to Montgomery County Clerk of Courts.

Smith was arrested Dec. 2 on Judith Drive, along with Eric Frasier and Patricia Patterson. She was charged with suspicion of permitting drug abuse, aggravated possession of drugs and misdemeanors for child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kettering City Schools originally placed Smith on unpaid administrative leave following her arrest, the pending results of the investigation.
