An Indiana man was charged in Clark County Municipal Court after he was accused of masturbating while driving on Interstate 70.

James Robinson, 74, of Richmond, Indiana, is facing a charge of public indecency, according to court records. The Ohio State Highway Patrol began their investigation when they were dispatched around 3 p.m. Aug. 13 to the interstate, according to an affidavit filed with the charges.

“The witness was driving a semi and traveling beside the suspect’s car,” the affidavit says. “The driver of the suspect car was reportedly playing with his male parts. The witness stated the driver would pull up beside his semi and appeared to be ‘masturbating.’”

The affidavit says Robinson continued doing this for three to four minutes.

“The semi driver attempted to avoid the suspect and his sexual acts, but the driver would slow down and get back beside the semi,” the affidavit says. “The witness stated that he appeared to pull next to other semi’s and drive right beside them from a short period of time. The suspect stayed driving close to the semi all the way up until the time I made the traffic stop westbound at milepost 43.”

During the traffic stop, Robinson denied any sexual acts or exposing himself, the affidavit says. Robinson was charged and released at the scene, according to the affidavit.
