Reward offered for information about Spooky Nook site vandalism in Hamilton

A $500 reward is being offered for information about who it was who vandalized a building Wednesday evening at the future Spooky Nook at Champion Mill gigantic indoor sports complex and convention center.

Hamilton police announced the reward on Twitter and posted photos of the former Champion Paper office building that is across North B Street from the Black Street Bridge, which developers of the complex plan to transform into a boutique hotel that will exist in addition to a larger hotel that also will be on the Spooky Nook site, in the 600 block of North B Street.

A police spokesman, Sgt. Rich Burkhardt, said police responded to the site around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after someone reported seeing what they thought was someone messing around with the building. Burkhardt said he did not know who was offering the reward.
