Dispatchers said that troopers initially tried to stop the suspect vehicle at 1:15 p.m. on I-70 West near the 29.5 mile marker, which is between the Airport Access Road and Main Street exits.

From there, dispatchers said the pursuit covered a couple miles, at times traveling as slow as 25 mph and at other times driving over 100 mph before eventually exiting on Airport Access Road.

Dispatchers confirmed that the suspect vehicle started to drive the wrong way on Airport Access Road, so troopers made “intentional contact” with it.

The OSHP clarified that this contact would be bumping the rear side quarter panel on the suspect vehicle with the cruiser’s nose.

Two cruisers contacted the suspect car, bringing it to a stop.

Nobody was injured in the pursuit or the impacts, records said.

The driver from the suspect vehicle was arrested and taken to jail, but a passenger was released, dispatchers said.

The OSHP is not releasing the suspect’s name at this time, but said that they would be facing reckless operation charges, with other charges to be added later.
