Surveillance released from Dayton Dollar General robbery

UPDATE @ 1:36 p.m. (Aug. 26):

The suspect from a Dollar General robbery on South Gettysburg Avenue Thursday was purchasing a Gatorade when he pulled a gun on the store clerk, according to police.

Dayton police released a surveillance image from the robbery and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stopper at 222-STOP.

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton police are investigating an armed robbery at Dollar General today, Aug. 25.

About 9:50 a.m. Thursday, the Dollar General, located at 888 S. Gettysburg Ave. was robbed by a suspect with a gun.

The male suspect fled on foot behind the story, described as wearing a gray shirt, blue pants and white and green hat.
