Woman killed in single car accident in Preble County

An Eaton woman was killed after the car she was riding in crashed on Engle Road in Twin Twp. on Wednesday afternoon, the Preble County Sheriff's Office announced in a press release Wednesday.

Stephanie L. Stiver, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a passenger in the car driven by her husband, Todd B. Stiver, 34, who was flown to Kettering Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation found that the couple was traveling east on Engle Road, east of Jordan Road in Twin Twp., when Todd Stiver lost control of their 2016 Jeep Patriot and crashed, the release said.

Investigators do not believe alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, and they are continuing their investigation.
