First Street will be closed to traffic today, the Dayton Police Department announced. The street will be closed from the west side of the bridge.

The road will be closed from the inbound lanes of the Salem Avenue Bridge at River Avenue to Perry Street. First Street will be closed at Red Cross Lane, Maxwell Drive and Robert Drives.

The road would likely reopen sometime Monday, Dayton Police said. There was no immediate reason available for the closure.
