Dog Training Program On Hold In Butler Co.

A program to train dogs inside the Butler County Jail is on hold because the first dog to be part of the program bit two prisoners.

Officials said the dog now has to be quarantined. Project Fido was launched about two weeks ago.

The program was designed to pair inmates with dogs rescued by the Humane Society.

The prisoners would house the dog inside their jell cells and provide basic obedience training.

The two inmates who were bitten were treated for minor injuries to their ankles.
