IU East sets enrollment record a 17th time

Indiana University East officials on Thursday reported a record enrollment for the 17th straight term.

The campus showed a 6.5 percent increase for the fall term, a total of 4,456 students, up from 4,186, according to newspaper reports out of Richmond.

In 2007, the fall enrollment tallied just 2,226.

The number of credit hours being taken is up 3.1 percent to 40,543.

Campus officials reported an increase of over 15 percent of the freshman and transfer students compared to 2012.
