Flames shoot from engulfed barn in Preble County

The property was in the 2800 block of Orphans Road. Fire crews were still on scene, and we are working to learn what led to the fire, what was inside the barn and the estimated property value loss.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters from multiple communities tonight are battling a large barn fire.

One area resident said he can see flames shooting 30 feet into the air from the barn near U.S. 127 south of Interstate 70. The man said he believes the property is vacant but that he didn’t know if there was anything inside the barn.
