Gas Leak Forces Xenia Residents From Homes

More than a dozen Xenia families were allowed back home Wednesday night after a gas leak forced them out of their home.

Investigators said workers digging on South King Street ruptured a gas line around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday Residents in about 12 homes were evacuated to a Red Cross shelter, accoriding to police.

They didn't have to stay there for very long. Vectren was called and quickly patched the leak.
