The incident happened around 8 p.m. and at first, customers and workers thought a rock may have been thrown at the window, but police quickly determined a pellet gun was used.
Denny’s closed Monday night for customer safety. Witnesses told police that the shot came from a pellet gun, fired from a passing, older-model maroon-colored Jeep Cherokee driven by two white males.
Investigators said that because the shot came from a pellet gun, the incident is a case of vandalism and is not considered a felony crime.
