To help reduce ozone formation, the agency asked residents to follow a few recommendations:
- Take the bus, carpool, ride a bike or walk instead of driving
- Refuel your vehicle after 8 p.m., avoid topping off the tank and tighten the gas cap
- Do not idle your vehicle
- Avoid using gas-powered lawn equipment
To start the weekend, it will be hot and sunny, with a high near 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, we will continue to have clear skies, with temperatures dipping to around 62 degrees.

Tomorrow will also be largely sunny, with temperatures rising even higher to around 91 degrees. It will be warmer at night as well, with a low of around 70 degrees. However, the NWS predicted we see more and more clouds as the day goes on, with more forming overnight.
For Monday, we will start out cloudy, and we will start seeing a rising chance of rain beginning around 10 a.m., joined by a chance of thunderstorms starting in the afternoon. Outside of showers and storms, conditions will be partly sunny, with highs rising to around 92 degrees.
Chances of showers and storms will remain steady throughout Monday night and into Tuesday. Temperatures will fall to around 71 degrees overnight.
