Though some no longer live in Shelby County, each of this year’s inductees are graduates of Sidney High School.
James H. Fouss (SHS 1957) has a long history in the field of market research and currently serves as the president of Fouss Market Research.
Vera D. Ginn (Deceased; SHS 1925) served as both a teacher and principal in the Sidney City School District from 1948 through 1964. Ginn served as a leader in the Eastern Star Organization and found success in the business world as the owner of Ginn Elevator.
Virginia A. McMillin (SHS 1941) pursued a career in nursing, earning her RN, before entering into the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant. After completing her service, McMillin worked in New York at Cornell University Medical Hospital, the VA Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and the VA Hospital in Fresno, California.
Frank Neville (SHS 1949) is commonly referred to as “Mr. Music” by residents in the Sidney and Shelby County area. Neville taught music at the high school level and has composed music, conducted orchestras and was instrumental in organizing local summer concerts at the Shelby County Courthouse.
Dave Ross (SHS 1972) is a long-time supporter of the Sidney City School District and provided key leadership in the local effort to build Sidney Memorial Stadium and for the great success of the Hall of Honor. Ross is the author of a book detailing the first century of the Sidney High School football program and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Urbana University.
The public is invited to attend this 17th annual event and the following reception in the adjacent SHS gymnasium. The Hall will have a total of 98 members with these new additions.
