Messages left for Starbucks officials Monday afternoon were not immediately returned.
Starbucks submitted plans for a restaurant that would offer drive-through service and would include two patios, one seating 30 and another seating 12, in addition to the interior seating for 50, according to a site plan filed earlier this year with Washington Twp. officials.

Starbucks has been in rapid expansion mode in suburban areas around Dayton in recent months, opening locations across from The Greene Town Center in Beavercreek and near Meijer in Englewood, and working to open a 2,774-square-foot location on East Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn.

According to this Seattle Times report, Starbucks is planning to build several new high-end "Reserve Roastery" stores nationwide that will focus more on a lunch menu. The site plan as submitted to Washington Twp. officials showed traditional "Starbucks Coffee" signage.

The Seattle-based chain operates more than two dozen locations, some free-standing and some inside other businesses, in the Dayton and northern Cincinnati area.
