“I’m just looking forward to staying in Kettering,” Inskeep said. “This is where I want to be. It’s a great school district, and I’m hopeful they feel the same way.”
The school board met in closed session both Monday and Wednesday “to consider the employment or compensation of a public employee or official.”
“We have been in the process of conducting a performance review (for Inskeep) for several months now, and we are merely keeping consistent with that,” Kettering school board President Jennifer Kane said Wednesday.

The same meeting purpose — employment or compensation of a public employee — is listed for Tuesday’s 5 p.m. executive session, just before the regular open school board meeting at 6 p.m.
“They have been working on my performance evaluation,” Inskeep said. “My anticipation is that they will finalize that evaluation on Tuesday. My hopes are at that point, we’re able to take a look at everything and that I can remain in Kettering, I hope, for the rest of my professional career. … I hope that can be worked out.”
Tuesday’s school board meeting will be held in the Recital Hall at Fairmont High School.

Inskeep was hired as superintendent in 2014 after guiding the Reading district for 12 years. On the most recent state report card, Kettering’s test performance improved, and the district outperformed what the state considers “similar districts.”
Kettering voters approved the only tax levy brought forward under Inskeep, a facilities levy in 2016. The district is seeking an operating levy this November.
