SOUTH CHARLESTON, Ohio—Southeastern School Board members are scheduled to vote Tuesday evening to begin contract termination proceedings against a laid-off principal.

Marvin Dalton, former principal of Miami View Elementary School, was part of a reduction in force the board approved in the spring to reduce spending. Superintendent David Shea received a 2.5 percent increase as well as other benefits to serve as District Superintendent and Principal at Miami View.

The meeting agenda indicates the board will decide tonight whether to formally terminate Dalton’s contract “for good and just cause.”

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the board conference room at Southeastern High School.

By terminating his contract, Dalton’s right to recall would be eliminated.
