At Least 10 Cars Vandalized In Dayton

Police in Dayton are looking for a man who broke into more than 10 vehicles early Sunday morning.

Residents of several blocks of Sandhurst Drive woke up and found the windows on their vehicle smashed out and property missing. Dayton police evidence crews checked the vehicles for fingerprints.

One man who was awake when the break-ins happened was able to chase the vandal away. Alan Pierce's dog heard the man breaking in to the vehicles, causing Pierce to take a look outside. When Pierce realized what was happening, he told the man to leave while his wife threatened to have their dogs attack the robber.

Pierce described the robber as a white man is 30s, about 6 feet tall with a scruffy beard and carrying two duffel bags.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dayton Police Department at (937) 333-2677.
