A school-posted police officer discovered two knives on a Fairfield High School student today.
According to statement from district officials, a student tipped off school staffers that a classmate was in possession of the weapons.
“The administration and school resource officer immediately located the student (suspect) and confiscated two knives. The school district administered the appropriate disciplinary consequences,” the statement said.
“The school district worked closely with the Fairfield Police Department who will be handling the criminal investigation.”
School officials did not immediately respond to requests for more information.
