The Warren County Board of Elections today announced precautions for voting in the March 17 primary in response to concerns about the COVID-19 virus.

"Due to the concern over the Novel Coronavirus and the upcoming Primary Election on March 17th, the Warren County Board of Elections is providing hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes for all their polling locations," according to a press release.

“They are instructing Precinct Election Officials to wipe down voting surfaces and the stylus used by voters to sign the E-Pollbook.”

The precautions were taken in cooperation with the Warren County Health District.

County officials “trust this will help voters and Election Officials feel more confident on Election Day,” according to the release.

In addition, county election officials encouraged voters who felt ill to vote early “by requesting a ballot application to be mailed to you.”

The board office, at 520 Justice Drive in Lebanon, is open for early voting with extended voting hours both in the evenings and on the weekend.
