The advisory affects Clark, Greene, Montgomery and Miami counties. The National Weather Service is calling for above average temperatures and moderate winds which may lead to elevated air pollution levels.
The Air Quality Index reading is projected to be 104 to 108 between Saturday and Monday. Any reading at 101 or higher is unhealthy for sensitive groups of people.
The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission suggests the list of following actions on heavy air pollution days:
Avoid driving if possible
Refuel you vehicle after 8 p.m. or not at all on those days
Limit use of small gasoline-powered equipment
Mow your lawn after 6 p.m when smog is less likely to form
