Authorities request help identifying person of interest in missing Indiana teen case

The United States Marshals and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in the case of a missing 13-year-old girl.

Valentina Lacava was last seen around 9:30 p.m. June 20 getting into a silver or white believed to be an older Toyota Solara with extensive front end damage near the intersection of Watson Road and Possum Hollow Road in Greenwood, a suburb of Indianapolis, the U.S. Marshals said in a prepared statement.

Lacava is a white female, 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She was wearing dark jeans and a zip-up sweatshirt, possibly a hoodie, and black sneakers.

The surveillance images of the person of interest were released Friday afternoon.

Anyone who has any information about the missing teen or the man pictured in the photo is asked to contact the Johnson County Dispatch Center at 317-346-6336.
