A local church and non-profit held a tornado relief concert event Saturday evening.

Grace Hope Church and Miami Valley Community Action Partnership hosted the event at E.G. Shaw Elementary School on Kemp Road.

There are still hundreds of people displaced without basic necessities and struggling with insurance companies, so this family-friendly event was held to support those affected.

The concert included food, live music, children’s games, first repsonders, emergency vehicles and trunk-or-treat.

Local business also donated hundreds of dollars worth of gift certificates, memberships, gift baskets, prizes, raffles and incentives for the silent auction.

100 percent of the proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will be donated to the families affected by the Memorial Day tornadoes in Greene County.
