Car lands atop gas line; part of New Carlisle Pike is closed in Clark County

A vehicle struck a gas line tonight, causing a leak that led authorities to close a portion of New Carlisle Pike.

The crash reported around 9:55 p.m. in the 4100 block of New Carlisle Pike in Springfield Twp. in Clark County.

The roadway was closed between Vale and Victory roads.

A crew from Columbia Gas was called to repair the leak.

No injuries are reported, and it is not clear whet led the driver to strike the gas line in the front yard of a home.
