‘The car is still stuck in my house,’ Dayton caller tells 9-1-1 operator; driver flees

Police are trying to determine who drove a Cadillac into the side wall of a home in the 200 block of Westwood Avenue in Dayton.

Police and a fire crew were dispatched about 10:30 p.m. Monday on the report. They found no one in the car.

According to the 911 call, the caller said the person ran after striking the house.

“I need an officer to my house, somebody just ran into my house,” the caller said. “Somebody ran into my house and got out of the car and started running. The car is smoking and everything.”

An officer on scene told us police haven't had a chance to determine whether the car was stolen.

No one in the house was injured. One of the residents said he wasn’t able to sleep Monday night "because there's a hole in my house."
