Three community-building organizations will be moving in together under one roof at a new building in the coming weeks.

The Dayton Foundation, the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) and the University of Dayton’s Fitz Center for Leadership in Community will settle into their new home at 1401 S. Main St.

Starting August 23 through mid-September, the move is aimed at increasing opportunities for collaborations with a variety of public and private partners.

The 38,000-square-foot, two-story office and academic building features an expansive front porch, increased office space, a shared meeting space and more.

“Collaboration is the way the Dayton community gets things done and our hope is that the new building can be a front porch where the entire community can gather and come together to create exciting new opportunities for community and economic development,” UD President Eric F. Spina said.
